Why I am Running For Mayor Of Scottsdale

I am honored to announce my candidacy for Mayor of the City of Scottsdale.

Scottsdale is one of the best cities in the world, and I am proud to have played a small part in helping make this such a wonderful community. I look forward to continuing to protect and preserve what makes Scottsdale great while planning for an even more prosperous future.

Our residents deserve authentic leadership. I will collaborate to find common ground and build consensus with a focus on common sense solutions. Transparency and accountability insures that we are good stewards and build a better city.

I am uniquely qualified to manage our financial challenges with my extensive business experience having spent over 40 years in banking with over 10 years as the Community Bank President for Scottsdale.

I possess the financial acumen and leadership skills to ensure the City’s ability to thrive economically through challenging times – controlling spending, keeping taxes low and providing high quality services.

My 30 years of experience as a community leader, including 12 years on Scottsdale’s City Council, prepare me for the challenges ahead.

In addition to three terms on City Council, I served on numerous boards, commissions and committees all contributing to our quality of life. Of particular note, I served as Chair of the Boards of the Scottsdale Area Chamber, Scottsdale Arts and the Better Business Bureau.  I am proud to be a recent inductee to Scottsdale’s Historical Society’s Hall of Fame.

As we look to the future, we cannot take anything for granted. We must ensure the continued strength of our local economy and enhance the City’s financial strength, so our residents enjoy the quality of life they expect and deserve.

MY PRIORITIES

I am grateful for the trust and support that I earned from Scottsdale residents during my time on City Council and look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve.
